Get ready, set, go! School year of 2016-2017 is about to begin!

Hello parents! 
In a few days we will be getting our little ones ready for school... some for the very first time. It is a time of excitement, happiness and also a certain level of anxiety. In order to help a little bit with the anxiety, we are posting here today a few tips and links that might be helpful for the first day of school!

Virtual Display Tour

Our Christmas Visit to Danford Hall!

We have already shared some of these pictures on our facebook page... But just in case you have not seen them, I am posting them again here in our Blog!

St. Francis ECC went over to Danford Hall to share the Christmas Spirit! It was a great dya and experience. Looking forward to our next visit in February for Valentines Day!

STEM Room House for the Month of December!

Thank you ECC teachers for decorating our STEM Room house for December!

ADVENT Service at the Fox-Liles Early Childhood Center!

As we prepare for the birthday of Jesus, the ECC teachers prepare amazing Advent services every week! We all gather on Friday mornings and through read alouds and songs, prepare our hearts to receive our Lord, Jesus Christ!

This is our Very Special Corner! This is where we gather to pray, sing and learn about our Faith!

Just one example of the many different activities created by our students!

Next month, PreSchool through Kindergarten will be responsible for transforming our STEM room house into a Christmas Wonderland... full of Gingerbread Friends, ornaments and a Christmas tree!

Nutrition Program at SFX

Fox-Liles Early Childhood Center!

We are happy to inform you that we are implementing the Show Me Nutrition Program by MU Extension in our PreK and PreSchool Classes!

Each lesson includes a book about healthy eating, a physical activity, a food-tasting activity, and a chance to practice healthy habits like hand washing. Lessons also include family newsletters with more ideas of healthy recipes. Enjoy!

Our wonderful Teacher assistant, Ms. Janey will be teaching once a week all about Healthy habits from washing hands, fruits and vegetables before eating to food groups and more!

 

For Your Child's Safety!!

 
Just a few reminders…

Entrance process for the ECC door after 8am:

1.    As you enter the East ECC door, buzz Barb Werner at the main office and identify yourself.

2.    Write your name and your child’s name on the clip board.

3.    Mrs. Werner will release the door for you to bring your child inside. As you do so, please make sure your child’s class is in fact in the classroom. Kindergarten goes to Mass on Friday mornings. We leave our classroom right between 8am and 8:05.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD IN THE HALLWAY BEFORE YOU MAKE SURE THE TEACHER IS AWARE OF YOUR CHLD BEING AT SCHOOL.

Also, we have had a few incidents that a parent will courteously open the door as leaving the building for another parent. Please REFRAIN from doing so. The child coming in after 8:00 MUST be signed in on the clip board and the parent MUST talk with Mrs. Werner for attendance and lunch count. The teacher might have already entered lunch count and attendance and for your child’s safety it is IMPERATIVE that we have a record of your child being signed in and/or signed out.
